THE AEROS ORGANIZATION was founded over 30 years ago when it was not common to see girls playing competitive hockey. Our organization was founded by parents who were searching for a place where their daughters could play a sport that they loved with a passion. They wanted their daughters to have the opportunity:

to enjoy playing a competitive sport

to develop elite hockey skills

to develop good life skills that would take them to leadership roles in the future

The Senior Aeros team was founded in 1974 when girl’s hockey was just starting to grow, and that team established an amazing standard of excellence while achieving numerous League Championships and Provincial Championships. The Senior Aeros team contributed many players to Team Canada and other Canadian National Programs. The Senior team ceased to exist when the National Women's Hockey League, in which the team had competed since the League's inception in 1999, suspended operations in 2007.

Our Junior Aeros team was founded in 1991 and has also developed a reputation for winning Championships at the league, provincial and tournament levels. Since then, the Junior Aeros team has graduated well over 100 players to university programs across Canada and the USA.

Our Midget Aeros team was founded in 2001 and has won a league championship or provincial championship in all but one year of its existence. Every year, several Midget Aeros players graduate to university programs or to the Junior Aeros team.

We are very proud of the “Tradition of Excellence” we have established! Our Aeros tradition is recognized throughout the women’s hockey world and our graduates have gone on to wonderful achievements in hockey, university and business.

Toronto Midget Aeros and Toronto Junior Aeros

The Midget and Junior Aeros teams are managed by a Non-profit organization called The Toronto Aeros Girls’ Hockey Association. Each year, teams are funded primarily by our generous sponsors, our players’ families and the proceeds from our annual fundraisers. Our Aeros parents are invited to take an active role as volunteers for scorekeeping, fundraising, hosting team get-togethers and game-day operations. The cost of playing on the Junior Aeros or the Midget Aeros is comparable to other elite level teams in the area. Please contact staff for more information about the Midget / Junior Aeros by clicking on the Contact Us tab at the top of this page.
